Lady Wise Pumas flag football sweeps Parkdale and North Point to win 2025 4A 3A South Region

The Lady Wise Pumas made school history this week, capturing their first-ever 4A-3A South Region Championship in flag football. The program’s inaugural regional title came after back-to-back wins at home against the Parkdale Lady Panthers and the North Point Lady Eagles. With the sweep, the Lady Pumas also earned their first trip to the State Semifinals at M&T Bank Stadium. The semifinal listing shows Wise vs Walt Whitman at 6:30 PM on Friday, November 7. 

Game 1 vs Parkdale Lady Panthers

    • Final score: 14-0 Wise.

    • The first half stayed scoreless as defense held firm.

    • In the second half, Wise found rhythm on offense.

    • Senior captain Natalie Kelley powered in a touchdown.

    • Freshman Amari Truesdale followed with another to close it out.

Game 2 vs North Point Lady Eagles

Final: Wise 27 – North Point 6

  • Kennedy Wyatt opened the game with a 61-yard touchdown reception.

  • Defense forced a stop, setting up Natalie Kelley’s first rushing score.

  • North Point answered after halftime, but Wise responded fast.

  • Kelley struck again from 50 yards out, sprinting down the sideline to make it 21-6 after a conversion from June Tabron to Wyatt.

  • Following a turnover on downs, Amari Jackson capped the night with a 2-yard jet-sweep touchdown.

The next morning’s coin flip confirmed Wise as the No. 1 overall seed, setting up a semifinal matchup against Walt Whitman at M&T Bank Stadium (6:30 PM). School officials noted that tickets are expected to be free, with a link to be shared for supporters.

Making History

This marks the first time in school history that the Lady Pumas have:

  • Won a 4A-3A South Region Championship

  • Advanced to the State Semifinals in flag football

The achievement caps a milestone season for a program that’s quickly become one of PG County’s most competitive and disciplined flag football teams.

Wise now turns its focus to the State Semifinals in Baltimore. The Lady Pumas head into the next round with confidence, momentum, and history already on their side.
