In Friday’s league match, the host Southside Cardinals football squad scored a good 36-24 victory over the Gregory-Portland Wildcats.

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 15 match, on Friday, October 25. Southside will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Coyotes enter the match with a 7-0 record after their 56-17 league win over Somerset (Somerset, TX).

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX). The Wildcats enter the 5A-2 Region IV District 15 match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Calallen thwarted Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX), 35-14, in a league match.
