Wayne 13, Fairmont 7 (OT)

In Friday’s league match, the visiting Wayne Warriors football squad scored a close 13-7 victory over the Fairmont Firebirds.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Springfield Wildcats (Springfield, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio – Central match, on Friday, October 25. Wayne will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 41-28 league win over Centerville (Centerville, OH).

The Firebirds (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Beavercreek (Beavercreek, OH). The Beavers enter the Greater Western Ohio – Central match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Beavercreek was nudged by Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, OH), 49-7, in a non-league match.
