LJ Butler and Tobias Weaver accounted for six touchdowns to lead Wagner to a 56-7 13-5A district title win over Veterans Memorial.
LJ Butler set the tone for offense scoring on a 3-yard TD run within the first 3 minutes of the game. Butler also scored on runs of 12 and 7 yards.
Tobias Weaver threw a pair of touchdown passes to Joerell Brown, Weaver also scored on a run of 40 yards.
Andre Booker (13-yards) and Trent Thibodaux (19-yards) added touchdowns for the Thunderbirds.
The Thunderbirds improved to 9-1 overall and 8-0 in the district and the Patriots fell to 6-3 overall and 6-1 in district.
Wagner will have a bye week as Veterans Memorial will travel to Houston to match up against the Houston Hurricanes next Friday night.
