Wagner 49, Flour Bluff 14
Wagner (12-1) rolled to a 49-14 victory over Flour Bluff (9-4) in tonight’s Class 5A Division I third round.
Wagner senior quarterback Tobias Weaver enjoyed a big night, running for 64 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and adding 38 passing and one touchdown. Running back Karlton Black (two) and Andre Booker (one) also scored on rushing touchdowns.
Oxford’s only scores come from a first-quarter Isaac Miles 64-yard carry and a fourth-quarter Noah Hinojosa two-yard carry.
The victory sends Wagner into the fourth round against Mission Veterans Memorial next Saturday at the Alamodome.
