Thurgood Marshall snapped a six-game losing streak dating back to the end of last season by scoring early and often in a 49-6 victory over winless Cleveland Collingwood on Saturday night.
After narrowly missing out on its first win of the season last week in a 26-21 setback to Dunbar, Thurgood Marshall got to work early with big plays on offense.
Senior signal caller Ayyoub Muhammad had three touchdown passes on Thurgood Marshall’s first three possessions for the Cougars and the rout was on.
Muhammad would finish with five touchdown strikes on the day. Michael Elmore reeled in three touchdown grabs from Muhammad, with two of them going for 50 yards or more in the victory.
Thurgood Marshall (1-5) will take on Jay County on Friday night, while Collingwood (0-6) will look for its first win of the campaign against Cleveland John F. Kennedy.
