Pickerington, 33, Northmont 7
Pickerington Central took advantage of three interceptions by Northmont, while the Thunderbolts were held to one touchdown, in a 33-7 Tigers’ win Friday night.
Miles Johnson scored the first and only touchdown for the Thunderbolts, scoring on a five-yard TD run.
Terry Simuel set the tone for the defense when he returned an interception for a 35 yard TD for the Tigers just before the halftime.
Thunderbolts trailed 16-7 at halftime.
Pickerington Central’s DeWayne Carter grabbed a pick six and scored on an 11-yard run and Jaquwon Crawford added an interception return in the fourth quarter which led to an impressive 77-yard touchdown.
The Tigers improved to 10-2 with the victory and will advance to the next round of the playoffs in face Hilliard Davidson on Friday night at a neutral site, while Thunderbolts dropped to 10-2 to end the 2018 season.
