Northmont (6-1) gave Springfield (6-1) its first loss of the season.

The stands were full at the Premier Health Stadium for the Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) crossover showdown.

Northmont’s (QB) Miles Johnson got things started early in the 2nd quarter with a 24-yard pass to Drew Hickman to score a touchdown.  At the top of the fourth quarter, Jestin Jacobs 59-yard touchdown run was enough to finish out the game.

Springfield’s Raheim Moss 66-yard touchdown pass to Larry Stephens pull the Wildcats within 12-7 at halftime

Northmont will travel to Centerville for a non-conference game, while Springfield will take on Beavercreek at Miami Valley Hospital Stadium on Friday.
