Division III AP poll No. 1 Chaminade-Julienne remained unbeaten on the season with a 60-31 drubbing of previously-beaten Carroll on Friday in Region 12 football action on Friday night.

It was the final game of the season for the likes of junior quarterback Ryan Minor, while the Henry twins (running back Marquis and defensive lineman Marquel Henry) due to a new Ohio transfer rule that only allows transfers to play in the first five games.

Marquis Henry signed off his junior season in style and gave plenty of look forward to in 2019 with a school-record setting six touchdowns for the Eagles in the rout. Henry would finish the evening with 245 yards on 15 carries.

Minor completed 9-of-14 for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Quincy Johnson Jr. opened the scoring on a 60-yard run as one of his two touchdown runs to overcome a slower than normal start for the CJ offense. Johnson, who expects to see more of the workload out of the backfield, finished with 126 yards on 10 carries.

After finishing 1-9 in 2017, Carroll falls to 4-1 on the season with the loss. Fred Butts ran for 95 yards in the victory, while quarterback Trent Fox threw for 205 yards on the evening. The Patriots will take on Badin next Friday.

Top-ranked Chaminade-Julienne’s roster will look a little different next week when it takes its unblemished record to Roger Bacon (2-3, 0-1 in conference).
