Brandeis 49, Churchill 38
Jordan Battles and Cristian Medina accounted for six touchdowns to lead Brandeis to a 49-38 win over Churchill.
Battles was 11-of-17 overall for 197 yards. He threw an 88-yard TD pass to Brandon Pake.
Jordan Battles ran for 169 yards on 26 carries and scored on runs of 13, 19 and five yards. Cristian Medina had 11 carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns. J. Nova Rangel added a six-yard TD run to end the scoring for the Broncos.
Seth Jaquess scored on an eight-yard fumble return late in the second to lead the Chargers at halftime 24-21.
Jager Collins had a 35-yard reception, from Derek Perez.
Derek Perez (119 yards rushing) and Cody Lilie (118 yards rushing) added three touchdowns for the Chargers.
However, it wasn’t enough for the Chargers to get the win.
The Brandeis Broncos improved to 9-2 with the victory and will advance to the next round of the playoffs in face Steele Knights on Friday night at the Alamodome, while Churchill dropped to 5-6 to end the 2018 football season.
