The crowd at Friday’s league contest between the Alva Goldbugs and the host Hennessey Eagles, observed Alva’s football squad defeat Hennessey by a count of 61-49.

The Goldbugs now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Chisholm for a 2A District 1 contest on Friday, October 4. Alva will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 41-14 league win over Perry. The Longhorns record now stands at 2-2.

Coming up next, the Eagles encounter the Perry Maroons in a 2A District 1 contest, on Friday, October 4. Hennessey will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Maroons go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 41-14 league loss to Chisholm.
